A fitfh edition of Artists’ Fellowships has been launched in Spring 2024, with the participation of the following artists: Amr Alsirawan working with Take Me Somewhere in Glasgow, Sarah Saleh working with Belgian graphic designer Loraine Furter, and Sarah Sarofim working with Egyptian architect Samir El Kordy.

Amr (b. 1996, Syria) is an artist and creator of Q’IWA events in Scotland. He is also a student of Contemporary Art Practice at Edinburgh College, specializing in sculpting and wearable arts. Amr has organized diverse cabaret shows and cultural club nights.

Sarah Saleh (b. 1996, Lebanon) is a designer, artist, and DJ currently based in Amsterdam. In her practice, Sarah focuses on scattered identities, using recorded sounds and collaged images to capture and express her lived experiences and current reality.

Sarah Sarofim (b. 1998, Egypt) is an independent curator, writer, and editor based between Cairo and Toronto. She graduated in Art History and Visual Studies from the University of Toronto, and primarily works with photographs, installation, and text. In her practice, performance and mimicry are recurrent both as themes of interest and a method of production.

A sixth edition of Artists’ Fellowships has been launched in Autumn 2024, with the participation of Alaa Abdelhamid working with Cairo Art Book Fair in Cairo.

Alaa Abdelhamid (b. 1986, Egypt) is a Cairo-based interdisciplinary visual artist and writer whose work ranges from sculpture and text to video and installation. He holds an MFA in contemporary artistic practices.
