The artist for 2023, who was selected from a pool of 138 submitted and solicited applications, is:

Sido Lansari (b. 1988, Morocco), who will be in residence to develop a long-term visual project about L’Ahzem, the first Arab queer movement in France. Through this lens, he will address issues related to the immigration of Maghrebi workers, the social, economic, and cultural impact on minorities and the fetishization of African bodies. Through mediums such as embroidery, photography, and video, Sido interrogates a collective narrative to construct individual reflections and memory.
