Volunteer Opportunity:
Assistant for “Read the Room” Festival

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer based in Brussels to assist in the lead-up to and during “Read the Room” festival at Kaaistudios taking place on October 17, 18, and 19, 2024.

Duration:
Daily from October 12 to 20, 2024, hours to be agreed.
Remuneration: Standard Belgian volunteer rates
Location: Kaaistudios, Brussels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Running production related errands (purchasing material, transporting equipment, etc.)
• Assisting the visiting artists and general hospitality
• Providing relevant administrative support
• On-set support as needed
• Assisting the technical manager with lighting and sound

Requirements:

• Engagement with the arts, preferable performance.
• Native Arabic speaker, fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus)
• Resourceful and knowledgeable of the city
• Interest in production
• Strong communication and organizational skills
